Throughout the entire residency and during performances, the kitchen table will allow artists and the community to get connected to each other. In order to foster a creative bond, Turkish chef Emrah Tas, our cook-in-residence will prepare conceptual dinners in accordance to the public performance of the week and content of the working sessions.

Chef Yalın has been born in the US, raised in Istanbul and living in Berlin for fifteen years now. His eclectic upbringing mirrors his journey to becoming a passionate cook. While finishing his studies as a history student at the Humboldt University he started working in kitchens and fell in love with his future calling as a chef. After university he continued working in different kitchens, learning and improving. He successfully completed the arduous German cooking training in 2018. He enjoys to work with classical recipes, fresh ingredients while giving them his own personal twist reflecting the accumulative tradition of his own diverse upbringing.
